TEHRAN – Seyed Mohammad Atabak, Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade, emphasized that the nation’s industrial sector remains resilient and undeterred by economic sanctions. He noted that overcoming these challenges through domestic capabilities is the key to sustaining the country’s development path.
In a report by AgrofoodNews, Minister Atabak praised the steadfastness of Iranian producers in the face of current economic pressures. He stated that despite existing imbalances and constraints, the production sector has successfully navigated obstacles by relying on homegrown expertise and technological capacities.
Highlighting the government’s pivotal role, Atabak stressed the need for active state support. “We expect the administration to work closely with the industrial sector to create favorable conditions. This will enable industries to overcome current imbalances and continue supplying high-quality products to the market,” he said.
The Minister also outlined the strategic priorities of the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade, specifically focusing on foreign trade management. He noted that streamlining export processes and facilitating the import of essential raw materials are top priorities aimed at improving the country’s trade balance.
Concluding his remarks, Atabak reminded that Iran’s industries have faced harsh sanctions many times before. He asserted that the producing community has proven its readiness to withstand limitations and continue the trajectory of national economic development.
