Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh, Iran’s Minister of Agriculture Jihad, stated that following the liberalization of the exchange rate and the reform of subsidy payments from the beginning to the end of the supply chain, the market is now experiencing an abundance of livestock feed.
According to Agrofood News, quoting Young Journalists Club (YJC), Nouri Ghezeljeh said that, due to this abundance, importers are now complaining that they are left holding large quantities of unsold feed and are urging buyers to purchase it, as demand has weakened in the face of oversupply.
Emphasizing that there is no problem in the provision of livestock feed, the minister added: “At present, 1.4 million tons of feed are available for sale on the Bazargah online platform, which is clearly visible upon logging into the system.”autorenewthumb_upthumb_down
